I just test SetFSBTray 1.1.3. Copying the latest version of SetFSB into the directory, added the ICS9LPR427CGLF to the list and tried it out. All my testing resulted in the screen going crazy and locking the computer up every time it tries to set the FSB. Looks like SetFSBTray will have to be updated.

1.8? Wow. I can’t get passed 1.6 with out a BSOD, and can’t get past 1.7 with out a instant lock up.

Yes, thanks for the info… I got my 91MT to clock at 1.595, however any greater than that, and it shows the BSOD (albeit briefly before rebooting automatically) after prolonged use. Noticed that I had to uninstall the ASUS Hybrid engine before using it, as it caused some kind of conflict and kept on freezing… after the uninstall, everything worked fine (for now). Notice that when I go to tablet mode, the CPU speed still drops (hardware/magnet latch probably), but it still runs a lot smoother (especially the Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7 – a great way to test out the multi touch screen). Any way to automatically have the FSB set at boot up? Comments would be appreciated.

Thanks for the news on SetFSB! Ordered a new T91MT and after uninstalling the numerous GB’s worth of garbage ASUS puts on it and turning off the “ohh so pretty colors” of Windows Aero the little convertible moves pretty well. SetFSB will OC out to 1.65GHz, anything beyond that it freezes up and doesn’t want to play anymore. Windows 7 rating went from a 1.9 to a 2.3 and Passmark performance benchmarking went from a 136 to 160+. Pretty awesome utility for less than $6.

A word on buying from Abo @ SetFSB: I was a bit leery of making a donation to some unknown developer but I had a reply and an activation key from Abo just as fast as any eBay power seller out there.

Hey guys,

I just tried it on mine and two bad news for me. First is that I don’t seem get wPrime working. It’s giving me an unexpected error. I installed cpu-z since I read it depends on it and still nothing. And the second is that SetFSB freezes, no matter what speed I select. Could it be that Asus fitted the EU model with a different clock?

Any help appreciated!
